Tuesday May 1, 2012 –
Dr. Márquez-Magaña presented a poster entitled "SPECTRUM: Building Pathways to Biomedical Research Careers for Girls and Women of Color" at the Latina Researchers Conference. The first conference of this type was held in 1981. Dr. Márquez-Magaña says, "we were all committed to having this type of conference happen more frequently. As you can see from the list of topics that were presented, the focus was very much on health."
